FAQ

How much space do I need?
You need to have a couple of feet at each side of the bouncy castle and 6 feet at the back. We recommend as much space as possible at the front.

Will you organise the delivery and set up?
Yes. We offer free delivery and set up, which takes about twenty minutes to set up and twenty minutes to pack up at the end. Our staff are fully trained and there to offer guidance on how to have the best day possible.

Do I need to provide anything?
All you will need to provide is access to mains electricity (with a three pinned socket) within 30 metres of where the bouncy castle will be situated. It would be helpful if you could clear the area where the castle will be situated. If you do not have access through the garden, you can bring the bouncy castles through the front door. Please note that if the castle gets wet, it may drip on the way out. We will do our best to minimise this.

What if our venue has no access to electricity?
No problem. We can supply a generator and fuel but it will cost around £40 extra depending on the length of hire.

What happens if it is raining on the day?
We understand that you will be the last people wanting to cancel your party. We offer free rain cancellation. This means that if you have to cancel due to bad weather you will not have to pay.

What time will the bouncy castle be delivered?
We usually deliver in the morning and pick up in the evening, once your party is finished, any time up to 8pm. For any time later than this, there might be an additional charge. However we aim to be flexible and deliver and pick up at times that suit you, as much as we possibly can.

Are the bouncy castles clean?
Yes. Our castles are checked after every hire and cleaned rigorously. All we ask is that you make sure no one eats on the inflatable, and if you do make a mess on the castles please just wipe it up.

Does the equipment undergo safety tests?
Yes. Yes all our inflatable have current safety certificates and the blowers & extension leads are PIPA tested our extension leads all have RCD plugs fitted (ie with circuit breakers).

Do I have to supervise the castle?
Yes. It will need to be supervised at all times. Jump-A-Lot Bouncy Castles is covered by public liability insurance as owners of the equipment. This covers negligence on our part as suppliers. Operating and management on hire is entirely the responsibility of the hire persons. Essential guidelines for their use are provided. It is the hire person’s responsibility to ensure that the guidelines for safety are known and adhered to by all concerned.
We will provide fully trained staff to supervise at your party at an extra cost of £80.00 (for parties not exceeding 4 hours).

What type of surface do I need?
The surface needs to be flat. We can erect castles on grass and concrete/paving as long as they are clear of obstructions and sharp objects.

What happens if it rains?
The bouncy castles are waterproof and the generators are equipped with circuit breakers. The castles can function in light drizzle and showers. In heavy rain we request that you switch the unit off for the duration of the rain. However you can switch it straight back on when the rain stops.
For safety reasons we recommend that you ensure anyone using the castle has dry feet.

What happens if there is a problem during the hire?
We will supply an emergency contact number for you to call. If the problem cannot be fixed over the phone we will endeavour to visit you to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
